In order to begin the placement process:
-
You must first pay a $50 application fee, fill
out the on-line application to the Career Israel program and attach
your resume in English. Here you can specify fields that you are interested in,
and indicate specific internships from our database that are of interest to
you.
-
After your application has been received, you will be asked to sign up for a
phone interview with a member of the Career Israel staff. This interview gives
us a chance to learn more about you and your expectations for the internship.
-
You will be notified via email about whether or not you have been accepted to
the program. If accepted, you will be asked to pay a non-refundable
registration deposit fee of $300. This deposit secures your spot on the program
and shows us you are committed, so we can begin looking for an internship for
you.
-
As soon as we have received payment, you will be assigned a placement
coordinator who will contact you within 10 days. The coordinator will work with
you on an individual basis to secure your internship placement. After you have
reviewed some of the available options, your resume will be sent to the
employer of your choice. When a specific employer shows interest in your
candidacy, we will put you in direct contact with a point-person at the
organization. The direct contact is important in order to get a better
understanding of the organization where you will be working and to learn more
about the specific position.
-
After you have spoken with the point person, you should e-mail the program
staff and let us know if you are interested in confirming the placement. Once
we have made a match, you will be all set!
